The Elipta Compact Spike Spotlight is a brilliant outdoor garden product, typically used for spotlighting focal points, uplighting shrubs and small trees. This popular spike spotlight comes in black and is powder-coated aluminium - perfect for the garden. These 240v models use GU10 lamps so they don't need a transformer and the spotlight has a flush glass lens which sheds water and leaf litter.

240v Spike Spotlights must have their own circuit from an existing or new fuse box and the box needs to be protected by a residual current device (RCD) and is controlled with a double-pole insulating switch. The armoured cables have to be run underground - no less than 450mm with waterproof junction boxes. Use an electrician who is qualified under 'Part P' building regulations to install any mains electricity outdoors who will certify the work correctly.
